Broadcast

With anchoring and reporting skills in broadcasting, I have learned how to effectively deliver news, conduct interviews, and create engaging segments to keep the audience watching.

As a news reporter for NewsWatch, I had the opportunity to deliver national news on our segment called "The Watch".

Time Frame: (11:04-14:10)

One event that I reported during the school year was a salsa dance class called Dance Together. Covering this story was enjoyable because I was able to highlight the various activities that Ole Miss offers to its students.

Time Frame: (4:30-6:20)

During this interview I had to opportunity to talk with the 2025 Mississippi High School Journalist of the Year, Gabbie Russo. It was an honor to go back to my high school and speak with someone who helped our journalism program become better.

I like to put as much personality in my content as possible. The last segment I created in high school was a miniature cooking vlog with my journalism advisor. This segment will always hold a special place in my heart because I love cooking, and I got to look back on a wonderful four years at South Panola.

A goal for my high school's journalism program was not only to distribute the news but also to interact with students across the district and create enjoyable memories. This segment, "TEA TIME," featured our student resource officer, where we would sit with tea and cookies, discussing students' thoughts about South Panola.
